Non-conformist

A friend of mine said the other day that he’s a non-conformist.

Well, since non-conformists do not conform to the rules and whims of society, then that means they are following a guideline which says do not follow the rules. Hence, by definition they are conforming to something, thus they are conformist. So, non-conformists do not exist.

Heh heh heh. I was feeling particularly evil.

Yaz.

But Yaz, my dear dear freind, that is indeed a narrow view. For someone to truly be non-conformist to everything they must be completely and utterly random, and seeing as there is no social structure that follows chaos they could be considered non-conformist. Of course, had your freind been a little more specific then they would have got away with the comment 'I am a non-conformist in respect to what is commonly considered modern day socitey' then they would be right. Of course they would be lying becuase they're probably in university and will have grown up with both paretns (or been born of them at least) and I bet they plan to get a job etc. So, no conformism exists, but there's no such thing as a non-conformist (as you said). I do enjoy these little chats. Oh yeay, Kaki Busuk Yaziii!

Hmmm, you mean a true non-conformist will conform and not conform on things randomly? I think I see the point.

BTW, seems like Fendi and Caps have found the super-secret blog. Gosh, I feel all exposed and unconcealed =)

P.S: fnd can also stand for find? found? fondue?!
